New Subsites (these can be for example sites for each department) can be created directly from NavSherpa. As a prerequisite, you need to set up the SharePoint Site Collection and connect it to NavSherpa – see guideline How to create new SharePoint Site Collection for NavSherpa.
Open the SharePoint Site Setup List in NAV/BC and select New:
Set the Code and the Site Title for reference inside NavSherpa.
Select the Parent Site Setup Code and fill-in the code of the root site here. Note: You can make subsite of a subsite, too.
Set the Server Name / URL field. As you can see, the url structure is hierarchic, e.g. https://<Your-Tenant-Name>.sharepoint.com/sites/<Root-Site-Address>/<Subsite-Address>.
After setting the Server Name / URL field you may be asked to provide NavSherpa with the user login:
If you do not see the field, it can be displayed up by selecting Show more in the right top corner of the card.
NavSherpa is best suited to work with Team Sites (though it can work with other templates, too). So, please select the Team Site (no Office 365 group) for the modern site, or Team Site (classic experience) for the legacy site:
